Sunday Verse

If I'm being completely real, my prayer life  has been on the weak side lately. I could list a dozen excuses as to why, but the truth is that I haven't made it a priority. And I could kick myself! How appropriate that I put this as my "Sunday verse ", since it just fits. 

My hope this week is that I make prayer a focus again!

Hard to believe that the weekend is over! We had a great weekend with gorgeous weather and I'm sad to see the weekend end. So with a new week ahead of us, I'll share some words of inspiration. It's not a Bible verse, but it's definitely a saying that I need a constant reminder of.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Good Morning everyone!

 So, my brother is getting married at the end of the month, and I need to find a dress ASAP. I found several that I'm loving at Nordstrom (love their free shipping and returns). I can't decide which one to order! Here are the ones I'm loving!

This one reminds me of summertime. It's colorful and bold, and just super cute.

This dress just looks classy and preppy and I love the gold belt!

I'm typically not drawn to purple ( I don't think I even own anything purple right now), but there was something about it  that caught my eye. 

Why am I so into flowered dresses right now? Lol! I think this dress is spunky and fun, and the color combinations scream summer. 

I have a favorite but you will have to wait and see which one I choose! Which one do you like?

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Good Morning friends! Once again, Wednesday morning finds me highly unmotivated, sitting in my pajamas with a cup of coffee while the girls chase each other through the house. The shrieking is ear piercing, let me tell you. :)

So, here's what I'm Loving Today:

1.)

My church is studying this book for small groups over the summer, and while I can't do a small group right now, I decided to pick up the book anyway. It's packed with so many good tips for your family and for encouraging a long lasting faith in your kiddos. A lot of the tips are for families with kids who are in their teens, BUT there are still so many that are appropriate for our family now.

 

2.) 

 

I saw this idea for Father's Day on Pinterest (who would have thought?). I love this picture of them, especially since Taylor is wearing her Elsa dress. You probably can't see it, but it just makes me smile. She doesn't want to take it off! She even slept in it one night.

3.) 

 

This little concoction was from Cold Stone Creamery. Oh my word. It's strawberry ice cream with fresh strawberries and brownie bites mixed in. Holy deliciousness. Cold Stone might become my summer favorite!

Anniversary Date

This weekend Mike and I celebrated our 11 year anniversary! So not only were we celebrating Fathers Day, but we decided to go out for dinner to celebrate us.  Our actual anniversary date was the 19th but Mike had to work late so we just made reservations for Sunday.

We went to the Melting Pot and it was so nice to be out with just the two of us! 

We had a quiet little booth for two and it felt like we were the only people there! 

Can you say yum? We had filet, potstickers, spinach ravioli, chicken, and peppercorn filet. So delicious! And the dessert was to die for, and no, I didn't get a picture. We had the white chocolate creme brûlée, which came with mini brownies, blondes, fruit and Rice Krispie treats. By the end of dinner, we were stuffed and were wishing we had pants with more room!!

Earlier in the day, this happened.

Morgan was running in my parents driveway in her flip flops and went down hard. She had a ton of scrapes, not just on her face, but her sweet little face took the brunt of the damage. Even her mouth was bleeding which made me want to throw up. All I could think was that she was going to have lost some teeth, and people, I was not prepared to see that! Luckily, her teeth are intact. (Thank you, Lord!) 

Now we are hoping for an accident free week! 

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Hello there! How is your Wednesday going?

Here's what  loving today!

1.) 

This color is summertime to me. It's Aloha From OPI and I am in love with it. It's a coral color and I'm crazy for it. I tend to gravitate towards brighter colors for nail polish, and if you do too, you'll dig this. 

2.) I am loving that school has ended! Its been amazing to be able to sleep in. If you can call sleeping in until 7:00, that is. Which I do! 

3.) This is summer in a cup. I had one bite and I was done for. The other reason I love it? I know every single ingredient on the ingredient list, which by the way, is like 5 items long. It's sooooo good!
