1.) My hair and I are having issues. Since it has a mind of its own now, it refuses to look decent. I think my hair is waiting for me to make a decision as to what I am doing. I am still trying to style it like it's short, because it's the only way I know how, but it's getting too long to cooperate. I need to make a emergency appointment with my stylist!
2.) A co-worker of mine is getting married in 2 weeks, and I have no idea what to get her for a wedding present. Since this is her second marriage, and she and her fiance have everything they need already, she has decided it's best not to register for gifts. I would love to get her something, but what in the world do you get someone who has everything? I welcome any ideas on this! Help!
3.) I am currently reading the Time Traveler's Wife, and am not sure what I think about it. Sometimes it's really slow, and other times it reads pretty quick. I am, however, really looking forward to the movie. Honestly, I think the movie looks better than the book.
4.) 2 more days and I am heading up north! I cannot wait. A couple days at the beach, eating ice cream, hanging with the family...I need this little getaway.
5.) I was doing my Bible Study today and the lesson was on Teachability during Difficult Moments. Hello!!! This was the lesson I really needed to hear today--about how you react during hard times and what hard times can teach you. Hmmm...I have to admit that I have acted less than stellar at times during this waiting season of mine.
6.) My mom has decided that she wants to get family pictures taken, and my good friend Jaime is going to be taking the pics. I am super excited, since this means my mom can take down all of the old pictures of us with really bad hairdos.
7.) Las Vegas, here I come! I am taking a Vegas trip in September with my parents, and my aunt and uncle. Mike can't go, unfortunately, due to work, but I will gladly have some fun for him. I love Las Vegas!

9.) Our weather has finally gotten better. It actually feels like summer! Warm temps, blue skies.... too bad it probably won't last long. I still need to get in some time tubing on the river. Maybe this weekend if it stays nice!

Sarah- Dave and I always give a Dave Ramsey book to all newlyweds now. At first we thought it was presumptious, but then we received some really awesome thank you notes (years later!) for the books. Have fun on your vacation! I think I'm going to skip reading TTW and just see the movie. Can't wait until GNO!

When I got married for the second time, I appreciated everything. Honestly -- every gift was so meaningful! For people who already have all the necessities, go for things like room fragrances, vases, picture frames, gift cards, coffee table books, recipe books, art, stationery, etc. Some of our favorite gifts fell under these categories!
