Yesterday was a good day. You know the kind. The days where you just can't stop yourself from being happy even if you tried?

I had a doctor's appointment in the morning, and I knew that I was going to have an ultrasound to check my cervix, but I was thinking it was just going to be an internal ultrasound. I thought it would only be a quick one, but I was pumped to find out that they wanted to take a peek at the babies too! Of course I wanted to see them too, so that just made my day. Any chance I can get to see them...

Here is Baby B--She is always the easiest to get pictures of, for some reason. I think she loves the camera already.

That's Baby B again, looking right at you!

And here is Baby A facing the camera. This is the only clear shot they could get of her. I think she's going to be my shy baby.

**Just to clarify---we are working on names and won't be calling them Baby A and Baby B forever. Now we just call them "the peanuts" and are dwindling down our name list. We have one name that is a definite, but the second name we are struggling with.

I also had to do a glucose test at my appointment which I was not looking forward to since I have heard some negative things about it, but honestly, it wasn't bad at all. I chose to go with the orange flavor and it tasted just like a super sweet orange pop. I think it helps that they keep the stuff cold.

I saw another doctor in the practice (Dr. Rinzler) who was very nice and super thorough. She said with twins I should be measuring one month ahead, and I measured exactly that, so I am on track! She also said my weight was right on track and my cervix looked perfect. The babies were breech during the ultrasound, but they will probably flip around. My glucose test came back ok and so did my thyroid, but my hemoglobin was low, so now I have to take an iron supplement which I am not looking forward to.

My mom and I had lunch and did some shopping yesterday after my appointment and when I came home, these little gems were in my mailbox.

I got them from Briar Claire on Etsy, and I LOVE them. I have a feeling my babies are not going to have much hair, but I love these headbands anyway! Etsy is a dangerous place!

Sarah - I had left you a message back in September and you had emailed me and I'm SO SORRY i never got back to you - I had just moved cross-country and my life was insane. however, I am SO EXCITED for you and your twins! I have been praying for you since you announced it (even though we don't even know each other...I just know how you struggled, and so did I...so I just get it...but now i'm days from having my own little boy...so JOY all around!)

ANYWAY, I didn't want to take an iron supplement either...but I found something called FLORADIX. it's a liquid iron supplement, and it's non-constipating (oh the things we get to worry about) and it actually doesn't taste horrible - I chase it with OJ and it's fine. It's expensive, but to me, it's worth it - iron is gross. however, I am glad to take that vs. iron pills.

couldn't help sharing. keep posting all kinds of good news! congrats again- Kerry Mandulak, Portland, OR (k.mandulak@gmail.com)

So glad you had a great day...compared to the other day. I love seeing your babies too...the face shots are really good shots. You can almost see what they are going to look like.

Love the headbands too. Super cute.

And etsy...yeah forget it...dangerous!!
