Can I have a do-over?

Do you ever have one of those days when you could just beg for a do-over?

That's me today.

I should have known it was going to be one of those days when I woke up with a headache. The girls also decided that 6:30 was a perfectly good time to wake up, which is not their normal wake up time, by the way. Ugh.

By 8:30, I had already vacuumed twice. Once to pick up the dirt I discovered when I went to wash the rug by the slider, and the second time when Taylor dropped a container of cookies all over the bathroom floor. Oh heavens...

I should have gone with my gut instinct and stayed away from the mall too, but the girls were in desperate need of new shoes. Going to Stride Rite only reinforced my love of online shopping. The sales guy tried to talk me into waiting until the end of April for new shoes for the girls. (Sorry, buddy, but I am not here for my health. These girls need new shoes. As in today.) Well, now I know why he tried to put me off. The selection was TERRIBLE. I walked out of there with a pair of sandals for Taylor and sneakers for Morgan, but not before both of them screamed their heads off. I think everyone in the mall heard them. Ugh. Again.

Now I am back home where a tornado of toys has ripped through my living room, and two little girls are NOT napping in their cribs.

This is what I mean when I ask if I can have a do-over!!

I haven't had a headache but I have felt like I was functioning underwater all day, just feeling slow and sluggish and I haven't a clue why! Then I showed up at a doctor's appointment at 10:30, only to be told it had been scheduled for 10:00. How did I write that down wrong??? And just when I closed my eyes for a tiny nap myself, Lucy woke up from hers. It's been a day for me, too. Let's both have a do-over!
