Playing Catch Up

I thought I would post my Week 17 Belly pic and Pregnancy Highlights post since I completely flaked on Week 16! My last doctor's appointment was on the 8th, and so far, everything looks good. The heartbeats were 141 and 153, and again, I loved hearing it! She did schedule me for an ultrasound on the 22nd! I am so excited I can't even begin to tell you. I haven't seen the "peanuts" since I was 8 weeks, so this is going to be a huge appointment for us and hopefully we can find out the sexes!

Here's the latest belly pic, taken yesterday. I chopped my hair, which I was SO ready for, but cried like a baby after it was done. I had lunch with my friend Laura, then stopped by Barnes and Noble for a new book when I was suddenly overwhelmed with what I had just done to my hair. I couldn't get out of there fast enough, and when I got in the car, the waterworks turned on full force. Sobbed all the way home, like I had just lost my best friend. Looking back now, I can laugh! Normally, I don't cry over a haircut, no matter how drastic it is. Now I know how crazy hormones can make a woman!

How Far Along: 17 Weeks

Total Weight Gain: 9 lbs

Sleep: Hard to have a good night's rest without those Breathe Right nasal strips. For some reason, I have been so stuffy since this pregnancy began!

Best Moment This Week: Having lunch with my friend Laura and talking about all kinds of pregnancy and baby related stuff.

Genders: Cross your fingers that we'll find out on the 22nd! I am starting to think that it's going to be a boy and a girl.

Movement: ???? Sometimes when I am in bed, I swear I can feel a "funny" feeling, but I think it just may be the fact that I WANT to feel something, so maybe I'm imagining it!!

Food Craving: Anything sweet, especially candy. Nerds, Starburst, Rainbow Sherbet, etc.

What I Miss: Spending time in prayer. More on this later.

Looking Forward to: My appointment on the 22nd! I am so excited but a little anxious too. I just want to see 2 healthy babies.

Weekly Wisdom: Start buying diapers!

Symptoms: Stuffy nose, hard to bend down, can't just hop off the couch anymore, ever-growing boobs (seriously??).

You look beautiful! You're glowing :)

I understand those hormones all too well. Had my first bout of crying right after the new year...lasted for about 3 days and it hasn't been back since. I'm hoping it stays that way but I'm sure it won't! :)

Oh my gosh! How exciting! You will be glad you are sharing this on your blog. I wish I would have done the same. Twins are such an amazing experience. Hold on and enjoy the ride! Mine are five months old today so it hasn't been too long since I was in your shoes.
I had the worst stuffy nose during my twin pregnancy too. So weird and so annoying! I snored so bad my husband had to wear earplugs and I still kept him up. I told him it was payback for all of his snoring. :)
Good luck!
