I really never thought I would get to this point. It always felt so out of reach. It's a little surreal to me that I am actually going to my 1st baby shower. Where did the time go? It seems like just yesterday I was neck deep in a place of hope and desperation, trying to wait so patiently for God to answer my prayers. And now, here I am. The morning of my baby shower, getting ready to celebrate these TWO blessings.
I had my weekly doctor's appointment on Thursday, and everything was just fine. My blood pressure is still good, and although I keep packing on the pounds, Dr. Wisebaker said I am doing amazingly well (she never says a thing about my weight, which is a good thing!). She did say that bedrest is definitely coming, probably within the next couple weeks.
So here are my Pregnancy Highlights for Week 30!
How Far Along: 30 Weeks
Total Weight Gain: 44lbs
Sleep: Ha, Ha!! Sleep is a long lost friend. I miss sleep. Good, solid, uninterrupted sleep.
Best Moment This Week: My baby shower today!
Gender: Two little girls.
>Movement: Yes! ALthough I think Baby B is trying to flip over. It feels like she is positioned right across my belly with her sister underneath her. When I get a BH contraction and my belly gets really hard, I swear you can see and feel her whole body!
Food Craving: Nerds Candy (I don't think you can really call this a food, though!)
What I Miss: Regular jeans, being able to sprawl out in bed, hot baths.
What I Am Looking Forward To: My showers, getting the cribs put together, my ultrasound on Tuesday.
Weekly Wisdom: ???
Symptoms: HUGE belly (it seriously gets stares wherever I go), achy back, swollen feet and fingers.
