A Weekend Full of Good Things

I love weekends. I'm sure most people feel this way, but I really, really enjoy them since I've been off work. Weekends mean lots of quality time with the hubs and the girls, and just being together. It makes my heart feel so good!

Mike pulled a wonderful, awesome husband move on Friday. He let me sleep all night long and he got up with the girls. Getting up in the middle of the night to feed, change and burp 2 crying babies is not an easy task, and it is usually one that we do together. So when he offered to let me sleep through the feedings, I was so happy! But I did get up once to go to the bathroom (pregnant habits die hard!), and decided to help him out and feed Morgan while he fed Taylor. Then it was off to bed with me, and I got a decent night's rest! I was one happy mama after that.

Saturday was a gorgeous day and since Mike was going to play cards at a friend's, I took the girls over to my mom and dad's to hang out. We spent some time outside, grilled out, and I was able to catch a brief catnap. And it gave my mom a chance to hold some grandbabies (like she really needs an excuse!). Have I mentioned that I am so lucky to have my parents nearby?

On Saturday we also got a glider from my good friend Jeanie. I have been wanting one, but Mike and I have been going back and forth about getting one since we weren't sure if we were going to even use it. Jeanie was nice enough to bring hers over since she wasn't using it anymore, and I rocked Taylor in it last night. And she loved it, and so did I! Thanks so much Jeanie!

Second, my handpainted canvases from Laineybug Creations came in the mail yesterday. I ordered these about 2 weeks before the girls were born, and I think they came out beautifully. The colors are perfect with the theme of the girls nursery and I couldn't be more tickled about them. Check out Jenn's blog for Laineybug Creations! http://www.laineybugcreations.blogspot.com/

As for today's happenings, well, not a lot is going on in the Marshall household. We have just been laying around, and lovin' on our babies. Hope you guys are having a great weekend too!

Thank you so much for your sweet comment :) It made me feel better that someone else had a similar experience I am. The more pregnant ladies I meet that are not too concerned, the better I feel about everything.

Your girls are just so precious and I love their new signs! I'm glad you're having a great weekend :)

I love, love, love those hand-painted signs! Going to investigate one for my Lucy-girl!

You sound so happy and breezy and content, and it does my heart good!
