My Parents

This 30 Day challenge is kicking my butt! I honestly don't know how moms find the time to blog. We are busy women, and I know that as soon as I put the babies to bed, this mom cannot wait to lay her own head down. I commented to a girlfriend recently that I could get so much done once the girls are in bed, but all I can even fathom doing is crawling into bed. It is GO, GO, GO once the day starts, and I don't stop all day. The girls aren't really napping during the day, and when they do manage to nod off for a bit, it's never at the same time. Hence the reason I hightail it to the comforts of my bed as soon as the babes are asleep. I am so boring!

Anyway, Day #4 of the challenge is about my parents. How can I even begin to tell you what a blessing they have been to Mike and I? I don't think I would have made it through my pregnancy, bed rest and the arrival of the twins if it wasn't for them. They have been there every step of the way, helping out as much as possible. It is such a relief to have another set of hands to hold the girls sometimes!

I love that my girls are going to grow up being close to and with their grandparents. That is one of the things that I loved about my own childhood, and I wish so much for my girls to have the same. Now if only my brother and his family lived closer, I would be all set!

I totally know how you feel. I made the same comment to one of my girlfriends the other day that I DO have time to do certain stuff once the babies go to bed but honestly, I don't have the energy for it. I am MORE tired the days I stay home from work than I am on the days I have to get up early and go to work all day. I hope this will even out eventually because I think of the extra time I have at night (babies go to bed around 8pm) and I feel so lazy that I don't get more done! :) As for parents- gotta love em! My parents have also been a great help to us and I don't know what I'd do without them!
