Mike's grandmother passed away this past week, and her funeral was this past Saturday. It was such a reminder that the ones we love are only with us for a time, and that we never really know when life is going to end. It was a beautiful service, and I am so happy that she is no longer suffering, but I feel for everyone that is left here to mourn her. She will be missed!
But I also got to see some amazing things this weekend as well! Like Taylor and Morgan playing in their baby pool for the first time, enjoying their first popsicle, and Taylor pushing her little toy cart all by herself (that's practically walking, isn't it? : ) . The weather was better than expected today, and I am thrilled that I got to enjoy the sunshine with the girls. ANd I even broke out the shorts! (I am so not a fan of shorts--hate my legs, but it was too warm for pants!)
Life can be so bittersweet, can't it? I have so enjoyed watching my girls experience new things, and I cherish these moments, but I was reminded this weekend that life can be gone in a blink of an eye. I'm hugging on my babies a little harder tonight.
