Satisfied

Have you ever felt like you were being led in a certain direction or felt an urging in a specific direction? Well, this is happening to me. I have felt like I've really needed to focus on my budget VERY intentionally and stop spending thoughtlessly. Truth is, I've been horrible at saving. I suck at it. My husband? He is a champ at saving. I've said several times over the past couple years that I was going to budget and save but it quickly fell by the wayside.

BUT...

I can't shake this nudging, this feeling that this is an area of my life that I haven't completely given over to God. I feel like he's telling me it's time to give it up. Doing things my way isn't working out. It's time for a change!!!

SO...

I am doing this study with my small group at church and it is just so fitting.

It is really good! The study guide is even better! Talk about challenging one self to make a change...

AND...

I am also re-reading Jen Hatmaker's "7". If you've never read 7, you need to. Today. It's so funny and thought provoking and yes, challenging. Challenging the excess in my life plus learning contentment plus living on a budget equals a recipe for change. I need this! Keeping my fingers crossed that this change in thinking sticks.
