Not so thrilled

GR is in the middle of a snowstorm!! It's been snowing non-stop since the middle of the night, and rumor has it we are due to get 12 inches of snow. Mike even got stuck at the bottom of our driveway when he came home for lunch.

Now, here's the part where you get to hear why I am not so thrilled. My boss won't close the store, even though the police have issued statements saying that everyone needs to stay off the roads. Is it worth keeping the store open? I have a 22 mile drive to work, and you can only imagine what this is going to be like. She has closed the store before, so I am having a hard time understanding what is stopping her now. Associates feel like they have to come work because the store is still open, and therefore putting themselves at risk. Is is worth it? Even from a business standpoint, I don't think there is going to be enough traffic to drive sales. We would probably be paying more in salary costs than we would be getting in sales.

Am I just being a huge baby about this?

I totally agree. That is ridiculous. I wish you a safe drive if you end up having to go in. I haven't left my house at all today....There is soo much snow out there....at least a foot or more. GOod Luck girl!

That is rediculous and I can totally relate. We never shut down where I work and we even send out 40 delivery truck drivers a day. Its very unsafe! It makes for a nerve wrecking drive to work as well!
