Security (of lack of)

I had a conversation with a co-worker today about insecurity. She wondered if I had any insecurity issues. Um, definitely! I related to her that as a teenager I had my fair share of insecurities as far as my looks were concerned, and now, as mom, I feel a whole new set of insecurities. I wonder if I am doing a good job raising them, I feel guilty about trying to sneak in "me time", I don't even know what to say about my post-baby body. The list could go on.
Oh, but I don't want my girls to have to deal with insecurity. I keep telling them how precious they are, and how beautiful I think they are, and heap tons of love on them. I hope it will be enough. Girls seem to have a harder time with insecurity issues than boys do, don't ya think? Praying for some guidance as I raise my girls!

It's true that girls seem to have a harder time than boys. I have no doubt that you're making your girls feel incredibly loved :)
