52 Questions: #1

I am a big fan of Paper Coterie, and even though I didn't end up buying one of their planners for 2013, I still think they have some cool products. They also have some amazing ideas to document your life, and this one is called 52 Questions. Basically, they are writing prompts to get you journaling and since one of the reasons that I keep this blog is to document my life, I am going to attempt to answer one of these questions every week. Eeek...I know myself too well, and I may end up falling behind, but here we go!

What are 3 things that you are thankful for?

I could give the obvious answers--my husband, my children, my family. And I am truly thankful for those things, but there is so much more that I am thankful for.

* I am thankful for my childhood. I was able to run around outside for hours on end, playing with my friends until it was dark. I was able to ride my bike everywhere. I wasn't in a rush to grow up, nor was the world such a scary place as it is now (or maybe I didn't know it was).

*I am thankful for my struggles. Max Lucado once said, "If everything is coming your way, then you're in the wrong lane". Some really beautiful things have come out of my difficulties, and God has done a work in me during those times that I never would have otherwise.

*I am thankful for growth. Not just in the beauty of watching my girls grow up, but in my own growth. I am not the same person I was 10 years ago, 5 years, even 2 years ago. Even though I very much know who I am as a person, there is still so much that I am discovering about my myself.

I would love to hear what you are thankful for!

*Anyone else having trouble uploading pics in Blogger? Ugh...

I just uploaded all my pics to shutterfly in order to load a few to blogger. Pain!!!!! I don't know what is going on. Obviously, like you, I am so thankful for my family. Right now though, I am thankful for the new hardwoods that are sitting in my family room just waiting to be installed next weekend!!!
